Ethical code of conduct

The activity of Agcom is focused on issues of economic relevance in the field of communications.

Particularly important among employees'duties is therefore the observance of the Ethical code of conduct which sets specific prohibitions and forms of incompatibility.

Agcom's personnel must fulfil obligations of loyalty, correctness and discretion. Members and employees have to keep professional secret on all inquiries and inspections made by Agcom's departments.

With decision n° 37/99 the Authority set up the Ethical committeee made up of three members. This committeee is to assess the behavioural correctness of personnel and provide the Council with support in any development to the Code in light of cases and experience. Members of the Council are: Mr. Leopoldo Elia, Mr. Plinio Sacchetto, Mr. Alfonso Quaranta.
